Didn't you used to have a blog?

Oh hello, internet. It’s been a while. I suppose it’s time for a bit of an update. Since I last posted a blog post, I…

Bought a house and moved to Ohio

Began my first call as an Associate Pastor

Got ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA)

Got engaged

and got married

Oh and throw in fostering a cat for 4 months,

buying a new car,

quarantining alone for three months,

a million house projects,

and pandemic wedding + move,

and that just about sums it up.

Did that feel like a whirlwind to you? Yeah, me too.

I’ve felt a little guilty about neglecting this blog that I so used to love writing, but guilt only gets you so far. So I’ve decided that rather than try to catch up on all I’ve missed, I can only go forward.

It’s a different blog than it was because I’m a different person. I used to just be a Seminarian whose voice no one paid much attention to. Now, I’m a pastor of a church! I don’t too get too high and mighty about myself, but I know my voice has new weight to it. I take my responsibility as a faith leader seriously and so I’m still learning what it looks like to share my thoughts and my life in public. I’m not sure what comes next on this blog, but I hope it won’t take another year and half!
