And the Youth Shall Lead Them

And the Youth Shall Lead Them

When the Parkland shooting happened last month, I was numb at first. I couldn't even feel the depth of the pain for the Parkland community. There had already been 8 school shootings in 2018 and I thought this one would fade from the news just as quickly as those had. I have never been so glad to be wrong. February Digest

February Digest

January may have lasted forever, but February was over in the blink of an eye. This month was about settling into the normalcy of life in Atlanta once again. His funeral was just as he would have wanted it- ending at a graveside with cows in the field next door and people riding by on horseback.

Advent 1 - HOPE

Advent 1 - HOPE

They say hope is a beautiful thing, but this year, I find it absolutely terrifying. During this time of year, Christians lift up the importance of hope in a bleak, winter world. The first week of Advent is when we are reminded to have hope because we know the light is coming. We have hope in the midst of this long and dark season of waiting because Christ is coming and our hope will be fulfilled.
